Living at one’s own pace has certainly taken a different meaning in the last year, hasn’t it? We had to learn what it meant to keep moving in a place that seemed to come to a complete stop. Many of us had to legit find resolve in maneuvering a slower life. 

Fast forward to today — the world is re-emerging and people are ready to be out celebrating a new sense of normalcy. In my circles, 1/3 of my peers are ready to get back to dressing up, and another 1/3 you’ll have to fight to get them out of their sneakers and joggers. The last 1/3 are actively searching for the happy medium. The group who influenced LAYOP’s Spring/Summer ’21 lookbook? All three of ‘em. 

My favorite trend of the season is the contrast of black and white. It feels a little sinful to call it a trend when the color duo never goes out of style. The Life at My Pace tees can be easily paired back to casual work attire tucked into fitted trousers with heeled sandals. They can also be playfully worn with crisp summer jeans and a moto jacket. Either way, you deliver a message true to you.

The Lines Dolman tees are another favorite of mine to style — and if I have to dress friends from each one of those aforementioned buckets, I’m gonna start here. The military green Lines can give off workout vibes, so adding camo joggers and trainers show a more leisure look.

The very of-the-moment heather purple Lines lends itself well to an outdoor café brunch ‘fit, complete with light wash denim, a classic cardigan, and lavender fedora. When it comes to the gray Lines tee, the possibilities are endless! Land on an easy summer go-to — bright white bottoms and sandals. This crazy comfy t-shirt might be in the running for the superhero of the season!
